300 – 367 Room Hotel

Boord Street, Greenwich

(Client: O’Keefe Group/Mozano UK Limited)

Harwood Savin were instructed by O’Keefe Group in respect of the redevelopment of their former head office on Greenwich Peninsula for a 300-bed hotel. The scheme, which was subject to extensive pre-application consultation with the GLA, and a Design Review Panel, secured a resolution to grant from the London Borough of Greenwich just before Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020.

The proposals, which lie adjacent to the southern access to the new Silvertown Tunnel, and close to the O2, were subject to a detailed S106 Agreement to secure reduced parking, public transport improvements, employment contributions and an Asset Protection Agreement with TfL in the context of the Silvertown Tunnel works. We worked closely with the Client and their legal team to facilitate the delivery of the consent.

Following the sale of the site, Harwood Savin has been retained by Mozano UK Limited to advise on the discharge of all planning conditions attached to the 300 room scheme, and to enter into fresh negotiations with the Council to submit and negotiate a s.73 Application for a variation to the original permission to make minor amendments to the design and increase the number of rooms to 367. Consent was secured in December 2025.
